Solubility: HM-M69 is insoluble in water, but it is self-emulsifying and easy to disperse in water.
Performance and application: HM-M69 was used as a wetting agent, a deaerator ,defoamer and could increasing the liquor pick-up. HM-M69 Performs best as a wetting agent in the 4-13 PH range. It needs to be bused in combination with a wetting agent that is resistant to electrolytes in liquors with a high salt content.
The mode of action of HM-M69 is different to that of conventional wetting agents in that the active ingredient , which is insoluble , adsorbs on the textile fibres in water . This makes the fibres more hydrophilic and enables them to be wetted more quickly without any foam being formed
An important application for HM-M69 is as a deaerator for textiles. Conventional wetting agents cause stable foam to form within the material.
Conventional defoamers such as silicone oils impair the performance of wetting agents and detergents, but HM-M69 has a wetting effect as well as a defoaming effect. This causes it to boost the performance of other surfactants.
